Mr. R. Mackenzie Loree

Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of Board & Director

Mr. Loree has over 13 years experience in the energy industry, both in the private and public markets. Through his career Mr. Loree has developed various energy related patents and has been involved in the start up of various oil and gas service entities, exploration companies, real estate holding companies and an investment firm. Most notably Mr. Lorees development of Loree Holdings Ltd which is a diversified holding company with interests in public ventures, E&P investments, patents, service entities, professional services and real estate holdings.

Mr. Len Tucker


Len has been a long-term shareholder and supporter of Cerus Energy’s predecessor, Petrostar Petroleum. He sees new and dynamic opportunities for Cerus Energy and is committed to bringing his expertise and insight to foster the company’s long-term success.

Len brings over 14 years of investment management experience, having worked as an Investment Advisor at Merrill Lynch, CIBC Wood Gundy and RBC Dominion Securities. As a special advisor with the Department of National Defence he initiated the overhaul and reinvestment of a $125-million fund, exposing him to major institutional asset managers. Len brings project management and equipment procurement experience garnered as an engineering project manager at National Defence. As an environmental assessment scientist at the Canadian Coast Guard and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Len acquired regulatory expertise in numerous resource sectors. Specifically, his work covered the Canadian mining and offshore oil and gas industry, namely the Terra Nova Offshore Petroleum Development Project and the Voisey’s Bay Mine & Mill Project.

Through these resource projects, he worked with numerous stakeholders at all levels and interests, from private citizens and provincial governments, to Aboriginal communities and private sector developers.

Mr. Tom Carpenter


Mr. Carpenter is an educator in Saskatchewan, active investor and long-time shareholder of the company. Mr. Carpenter has over 20 years of personal investment experience combined with previous board experience with a TSX Venture Exchange company. Mr. Carpenter brings invaluable audit and compensation committee experience from his previous work as an independent director.

Mr. Bruce Scafe

Mr. Scafe has over 20 years experience in the investment and financial industry. Bruce has a strong entrepreneurial background. He ran a successful financial planning business from1993 until 2003 when he took a position with the Royal Bank of Canada . His duties included servicing high net worth clients giving them personal, business, investment and insurance advice. Bruce also managed a large loan portfolio. In 2007 Bruce stepped away from the bank and became a consultant to various junior public companies. In 2009 Bruce joined Petrostar Petroleum Corp and was elected to the position of CEO.

Mr. Anthony Chan

Special Advisor

Mr. Chan has over 25 years of experience in accounting and auditing as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). Mr. Chan is the principal of a Canadian public accounting practice firm in Vancouver, British Columbia, which is CPAB and PCAOB registrant. His specialized areas of practice and experience includes; providing auditing services to public companies listed on TSX, TSXV, CNSX, OTCBB & Pink Sheets; providing CFO services to Canadian public companies to ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting and regulatory requirements; and providing consulting services and assistance to private companies preparing to be listed on various Canadian Stock Exchanges through mergers & acquisitions (RTO by shell and CPC companies).

Mr. Chan is also a founder of an oil & gas technology development company that develops economical oil extraction technology. This technology performs lateral water-jet drilling on the sides of the wellbore, to expand the production of low producing or potentially orphan wells.
